We are delighted to announce that our President and CEO John Schott has been inducted into the Alumni Hall of Fame for Washington University School of Engineering. Washington University is John’s alma mater. He graduated with a degree in electrical engineering in 1980.
“I was one of those typical nerdy kids. I knew what I wanted to be when I was in eighth grade,” said Schott, “I knew I wanted to be an engineer.” After graduation and working as an engineer for several years, John founded EPIC Systems, Inc. in 1995, engineering design and fabrication firm. Earlier this year, Washington University featured John in an alumni news story. John was then invited to the University to meet the Department head of Chemical Engineering and the Department head of Electrical Engineering. He was also given a tour of the university labs and facilities.
This past year has been a big year for EPIC Systems, Inc. We have celebrated 20 years in business and had the honor of being named one of St. Louis’ top places to work for the fourth year in a row. EPIC also made Inc. Magazine’s list of the 5,000 fastest-growing private companies seven times — including the past four consecutive years.
Congratulations John – You earned it!
